Who am I? Where have I been?
Am I some freak with a fin?
Why do people fear me when they hear what I have?
Aren’t they smart enough to know it’s not contagious
and it can’t be cured with some salve?
I’m not crazy and I’m not a threat to anyone.
I’m just trying to get a straight head on.
I won’t hurt anyone,
all I want to do is help others
When you see me,
you don’t have to run for cover.

I understand the feeling. It's that type of reaction (as well as others disdain for what they see as laziness or a weakness in my charactor) that I don't tell many people about my illness.
Hi Stormy - It's SylviAnn. I have so much to do but I wanted to visit your first site... and commend you for talking about Bipolar so openly. I have been in the closet on the web so far except on forums but I am sure folks can feel the BP energy even though my art was created on lithium! I need to put more on my new site and wondered if you have any blogrings (?) you could recommend me joining? I should start a second (secret) site that is not on my website... about BP. I have to be careful because of stigma. I get enough stares because of my Surreal-Expressive ART without adding any labels to it... http://www.SylviART.com
